feedburner down!
It wasn't until I read the forum posts that I realized it wasn't me... hmmm, no word at all from them about the fact that the service was down! ZDnet blog caught it as well.

It's disconcerting that powerful storytelling is sometimes motivated by injustice and abuse of resources (both natural and human). The recent documentary Greatest Silence (it's now available on HBO!) is one of many great examples of documentaries motivated by a deep social issue. Tapestries of Hope has had a similar path since the decision to tell the story of Betty Makoni and her fight against a system and an urban legend.
After what has been a pretty long haul, director Michealene Risley's travelogue and narrative of the human rights abuse in Zimbabwe (disclosure: I am producing the doc.) is in its final phase. A few recent milestones and shoutouts:

A long-standing rivalry has so been renewed. Game on:
Here's hoping that Kobe and Public Enemy #1 take the remaining 6 games to the Celtics this year!
Boy, do I love this game...

Reading BW's "Beyond Blogs" story made me think about what one chooses to share with the world. For me, one of the hardest things to do is to share much about myself beyond work and my interests, particularly through my blogs. i always wonder... who would care?
in the past few months quite a few friends and colleagues have been asking if I blog... it started me thinking on what blogging has done for me, and why i enjoy it.
Mostly, it helps me clarifies a thought by allowing me to play it out, bat around different points of view etc. before taking a stand, making a point, or hitting "Publish Post." Given the diversity of projects I've been involved in these past 1-2 years, there isn't that much time on any given day to spend on reflecting or internalizing... much less, build a point of view.
Blogging is a nice departure (even if brief) from it all, and offers a chance to clear the head before saying something to the world. And even if personal updates or thoughts have not yet crossed over into the domain of what gets analyzed and clarified, I'm glad to have this outlet. The few minutes before deciding what to write about are what I look forward to. I've walked away most of the time (this time included) with a little bit of clarity about something!
